Free & Equal Announces Early Career Essay Prize

Free & Equal: A Journal of Ethics and Public Affairs is pleased to announce a $2000 prize for the best essay published by an early career scholar in legal, moral, or political philosophy published in the journal in the years 2025 and 2026. We define early career scholars as those no more than 10 years from receiving a postgraduate degree. All articles published by authors in this category will be eligible for consideration for the prize, and the awardee will be determined by a committee of Associate Editors for the journal. There is no need to nominate your article: any piece by an early career author that is submitted and accepted by F&E in the relevant years will be considered a candidate for the award. We expect to announce the recipient of the award in early 2027
